URBAN EGG TO OPEN FIRST AUSTIN LOCATION
Elevated daytime restaurant brings scratch-made breakfast, brunch and lunch
with exclusive Texas flavors and Austin partnerships beginning Oct. 12
AUSTIN, TEXAS (Oct. 9, 2026) – Burnet Road is about to have a new reason to brunch.
Urban Egg, an award-winning elevated daytime restaurant known for its vibrant atmosphere and delicious, scratch-made menu, will hatch its first Austin location at 7600 Burnet Rd., Suite 250, on October 12 beginning at 7 a.m.
The new restaurant will pair Urban Egg favorites with menu selections inspired by the flavors of Texas. By partnering with Austin-area suppliers — including Fiesta Tortillas, Texas Coffee Roasters, Texan Heartland hot sauces, New World Bakery, Dripping Springs small batch distillery and others — Urban Egg proudly supports local businesses while serving fresh, flavorful dishes in an upscale open-kitchen setting.
Austin guests can enjoy scratch-made menu favorites such as Billion $$ Bourbon Bacon, Chicken & Waffle Benedict, award-winning buttermilk biscuits with sage sausage gravy, Blue Corn Huevos Rancheros, house-made cinnamon rolls and award-winning gourmet pancakes. All pancakes are available gluten-free, alongside several other gluten-free menu options. Meals can be paired with the restaurant’s signature 32-ingredient Bloody Mary, a Natural Juiced Blend, an Espresso Martini or a barista-crafted favorite made with locally roasted coffee from Texas Coffee Roasters.
“Austin has such a strong food culture, and we wanted this restaurant to feel connected to the city from day one,” said James Batt, an Austin-native and Manager of Urban Egg Burnet location. “That shows up not only in what we serve, but with the local partnerships, too. We’ve worked to intentionally design the restaurant to create a welcoming space that honors Austin’s spirit.”
Urban Egg’s founder and chef personally visited local suppliers while developing the partnerships, underscoring the brand’s commitment to supporting local businesses and sourcing high-quality ingredients close to home. The effort extends Urban Egg’s scratch-kitchen philosophy into every aspect of its Austin operation.
The restaurant design offers an elevated experience both indoors and out, combining bright, high-ceilinged spaces with thoughtfully crafted design details that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. An expansive landscaped patio extends the guest experience beyond the dining room, providing a comfortable gathering place for brunch, coffee and connection. Every element is intended to create an inviting environment where guests can linger and enjoy Urban Egg’s hospitality.

Urban Egg will donate proceeds from its VIP Soft Opening to Hungry Souls, an Austin nonprofit fighting childhood hunger across Central Texas. Hungry Souls partners with local schools to provide nutritious food for children and their families during weekends and school breaks.
Urban Egg – Austin will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with dine-in, takeout and delivery as well as catering and private upscale event space available during off business hours.
The Austin location marks Urban Egg’s first restaurant in Austin and third in Texas, joining existing locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Beyond Texas, the brand operates restaurants in Kansas City and across Colorado’s major metro areas.
